Life-Changing Medical Care for the Hurting & Forgotten

By the year 2100, Africa will be home to over one-third of the world’s population.

Despite current progress, without rapid and aggressive efforts to increase the quantity and quality of healthcare in Africa, the number of people who will die or suffer from under-treatment will dramatically increase over the next several decades. The people of Africa deserve better. Africa’s citizens are bright, motivated, capable and passionate. They not only need our financial support–they need our help. Just as we train surgeons and HIV providers, AMH also assists hospital leaders and managers improve the operations and administration of the hospital and clinics they manage. The Banyatereza Sisters (right) in Western Uganda are a wonderful example of high-capacity and compassionate healthcare providers AMH supports.

Together, we are working to improve the capacity for care.

AMH’s management advisory services help our mission hospital partners to strengthen the governance, operations, finance and other administrative functions that support the sustainable delivery of high-quality, compassionate care. These efforts are led by volunteers with a wide range of skills and a passion for helping and collaborating with our colleagues in Africa.
