A well-trained surgeon lacking necessary equipment is demotivated and her skills wasted. In many locations, committed and talented health professionals are working with equipment that is inadequate and within an infrastructure that is many decades old. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon to find two or more patients in a single bed in the patient wards. And nearly all of our mission hospital partners lack necessary housing to accommodate much-needed health professionals and trainees.
to construct housing units, enabling the placement and training of healthcare professionals and trainees for our rural mission hospital partners.
Housing is a critical need for many of our mission hospital partners. In response, during 2018 we introduced our new “Housing Our Professional Experts,” or HOPE Program.
AMH has constructed surgical theaters, housing for health professionals, and new maternal-child health clinics. We have supplied x-ray machines, ambulances, and surgical equipment. Our engineering and project management team support our partners and oversee these projects. We need your help to make these high-impact investments at more hospitals.
